Namoni Axom Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company is based in Baghmara, which is in the Sarthebari area of Barpeta. We are at House Number 32. This is Namoni Axom Farmer Producer Company. We are a group of farmers from the lower Assam region. Sarthebari is famous for other things like bell metal, but we focus on the land and what it can give us. We grow various crops depending on what the month brings. The company is just a way for us to stay organized as a group. Farming in Barpeta means dealing with the river and the floods sometimes. It’s not easy work, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. Our office is small and tucked away in the middle of the village. We meet there to discuss prices and who is growing what this year. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. It’s just us, the people who actually plow the fields and sow the seeds by hand. We wanted to make sure that the people who do the real work get the money they deserve. That’s why we formed this group. We help each other with transport when it’s time to take things to the market. Sometimes the roads are very bad, and we have to figure things out together. We aren't looking for fame. We just want to make sure our village stays healthy and our families are fed and happy.
