Venkatesh Marbles

Our place, Venkatesh Marbles, is located at 358M Great Nag Road. We are quite close to Baidyanath Chowk, which is a landmark everyone in this part of Nagpur knows. Great Nag Road is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. The yard is full of marble slabs that we’ve collected over time. It’s a heavy business, literally. Everything we handle is stone, so it takes a lot of muscle and some basic machinery to get things moved around. We don't have any fancy marketing people or a polished front desk. It’s just us working. Sometimes the yard gets a bit disorganized when a new shipment comes in and we have to find space for it. You’ll see us out there in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of stone dust. Being near Baidyanath Chowk means we get a lot of foot traffic and people asking for directions, too. We just show them the marble we have available. Every piece is different, and we don't try to make it sound like something it’s not. It’s just rock from the ground that’s been cut up. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time and we know the neighbors well. It’s a plain way of doing business, but it’s how we like it. We open up, move the stone, and talk to the customers who walk in off the street.
