The Presidency Public School

You can find us on Amarapura Road, right in Jyoti Nagar. It’s a decent enough spot, though the road can get a bit congested during the rush hour. The school itself is a straightforward place. We don't have any of those fancy modern features like a swimming pool or a huge auditorium. It’s just rows of classrooms and a staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up the roof just fine. We have a lot of kids from the surrounding streets who walk here every morning. You see them in their uniforms, carrying bags that look a bit too heavy for them. The building stays relatively cool because of the way it's built, which is a blessing in the summer heat. We don't put out a lot of advertisements or stuff like that. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or relatives. It’s just a community thing. The gatekeeper knows most of the parents by sight. We have our small routines, like the way the bell sounds different when the power is low. It’s not a perfect place, and things break sometimes, but we fix them and keep moving forward. We just aim to be a place where the kids can sit down and learn their subjects without too much fuss or extra cost. It’s a quiet life on Amarapura Road, and we like it that way.
