K John Public School

K John Public School is situated out in Asoli, right along Bhandara Road in Nagpur. It’s a bit away from the main city center, which gives us a bit more room to breathe. The road outside is always busy with trucks and cars heading toward Bhandara, but inside our walls, it’s a different world. We have some trees that provide a bit of shade during those hot Nagpur afternoons, which is a blessing. The school building is spread out, and we are constantly trying to keep the dust from the main road out of the classrooms. It’s a bit of a losing battle, but we keep at it. The kids here are energetic, and you’ll find them playing on the ground as soon as the bell rings for recess. We have a small office where most of the paperwork happens, and it’s usually piled high with registers and forms. The staff room is a simple place where we share our lunch and talk about the day. It isn't a place with marble floors or fancy lights. It’s just a solid, functional school where we teach the basics and look after the children. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows wider to let the air in. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us well. It’s a straightforward life here on the edge of the city. We spend our evenings checking the locks and making sure everything is ready for tomorrow.
