Jupiter School & Junior College

Jupiter School & Junior College sits on Khamala Road in Nagpur. If you are from around here, you know the Khamla area is always moving. We have both the younger kids and the college-age students in the same general area, so it gets pretty lively. The hallways are usually full of students rushing to their next lecture or trying to finish their homework at the last minute. We have a desk in the front where we try to keep track of everyone coming in and out. It’s a lot of work keeping a junior college running. There are always forms to fill out and schedules that need changing. The classrooms are basic—just benches, boards, and windows that we leave open for a bit of air. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we all just sit under the fans and try to stay focused. The staff here has been around for years. We aren't trying to be the fanciest school in the city. We just provide a place where students can actually sit down and study. Sometimes the canteen runs out of snacks too early, and that’s always a big drama for the kids. We deal with the usual school stuff like broken desks or missing chalk. It’s a practical place for practical people. No one here is trying to put on a show. We just open the gates in the morning, deal with the day’s problems, and do our jobs.
