Pandit Bachharaj Vyas Vidyalaya & Juniour College

If you head down Rajabaksha Road in Ajni, you’ll find us easily enough. Pandit Bachharaj Vyas Vidyalaya & Juniour College has been sitting here in Nagpur for a long time. It’s a big name for a place that feels more like a second home to a lot of us. We have the younger kids and the older ones too, so there is always someone running around or sitting in the halls studying for their next big exam. The building has some age to it, and you can see that in the hallways, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s mostly just classrooms, some old blackboards, and a lot of books. Our staff mostly lives around the Ajni area, so we see the parents at the local shops all the time. It makes things feel a bit more personal, I think. We don't spend money on fancy brochures because we'd rather just keep the lights on and the books updated. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but the students don't seem to mind much. We just focus on getting through the curriculum and making sure the junior college students are ready for whatever comes next for them. It’s a busy place, but it’s our place. We are just a group of teachers and workers trying to keep everything running for the students who come here every day.
