Sandipani School

Our school is located at 199 Surendranagar in Nagpur. It’s a standard school building with a small playground area where the kids run around during their breaks. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we try to keep the classrooms as cool as we can with fans. You can hear the sound of teachers talking and children reciting lessons from the street if you walk by in the morning. We have a lot of students from the surrounding neighborhood. The walls are covered with some old charts and student drawings. It isn’t a high-tech facility with tablets for everyone; we mostly use chalkboards and notebooks. The bells ring every forty-five minutes to signal the next class, and that’s when the hallways get really noisy. We have a small staff of teachers who have been with us for a long time. They know the families of most of the kids who come here. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly know us because they live nearby or their older kids came here too. It’s a simple school focused on the basics of reading, writing, and math. We just try to provide a decent place for the local children to get an education. It’s a lot of work to keep up with the curriculum and the kids, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years now and we enjoy seeing them grow up.
