Stone Age

We call our place Stone Age and we are located at Plot No 37 in Ganesh Colony. We are right over in the Pratap Nagar area, not too far from the Pratap Nagar Police Chowki. Working with stone is a bit of a dusty job, so you’ll usually find us covered in a bit of it by the end of the day. It is a physical kind of work that keeps us on our feet. We moved into this plot because it gave us enough space to keep things organized. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, except for when there is a lot of movement near the police post. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just focus on the slabs and the pieces we have in front of us. Every day is pretty much the same routine of moving material and talking to people who drop by. We’ve been doing this long enough that we don’t really need to overcomplicate things. The sun can get quite hot out here on the lot, but we just keep at it. It’s a local business, plain and simple. Most of the people who come by are from around here or have heard about us through word of mouth. We don’t bother with big ads or anything like that. It’s just us, some heavy stones, and the daily work that needs doing. Sometimes the machines are loud, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with this kind of material.
