Shakti Tiles

Shakti Tiles is located at Shop No. 40 on Great Nag Road. We are right near the bus stand at Baidyanath Chowk, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. It is a very central spot in the Baidynath and Untkhana area. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with different types of tiles. Sometimes it is hard to walk through the aisles without bumping into a stack of ceramics. We spend a lot of time rearranging things so people can see the patterns. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping things down. It is a busy atmosphere. We talk to a lot of contractors and regular homeowners who are just trying to fix up a bathroom or a kitchen. The shop isn't very large, but we try to squeeze in as much variety as possible. It is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle in here. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the traffic outside. Most of the work involves lifting heavy boxes and helping people figure out how many pieces they need. It is a hands-on job. We have been at this corner for years and we know most of the other shopkeepers around the chowk. It is just a regular local business doing its thing every day.
