Seventh Day Adventist English School

You can find us over in the Good Luck Society area on Hingna Road. Seventh Day Adventist English School has been a fixture here in Jaitala, Nagpur, for quite some time. The pin code is 440036. The school day usually starts with a bit of a rush. Parents on scooters dropping off their kids and the local street dogs watching from the corner. We have a playground that gets quite dusty in the summer months, but the kids don't seem to mind much. They run around until they’re all sweaty and then we have to tell them to settle down for English class. The classrooms are basic but they work. We have posters on the walls, some of them are peeling a bit at the corners. We do our best to keep the place looking decent. It’s not always easy with so many students around. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon rains are really heavy, and we have to move some desks around. It’s a local school where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have a few trees on the property that provide some shade, which is nice in the afternoon. We spend a lot of time checking homework and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. It’s just a normal school day, every day, in this part of Nagpur.
