Scimaker Academy Of Science is over in Nandanvan Colony, at Plot Number 821 on the Cement Road. It’s a pretty easy spot to find because we are quite near the State Bank of India branch. Nandanvan is a big residential patch, and the Cement Road always has people moving about. We decided to set this up because science is something a lot of kids struggle with, and we had the space to help. The academy isn't a big institution with hundreds of staff. It’s a small operation where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. We have some basic lab equipment and desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose. The noise from the road can be a bit distracting sometimes, but once the lesson starts, everyone tends to settle down. We spend a lot of time drawing diagrams and explaining things that aren't always clear in the school books. It’s hard work for the students and for us too. We don't have any polished brochures or corporate talk. We just tell parents what we are doing and how the kids are getting on. It is an honest way to run a place. Most days are just about getting through the syllabus and making sure the lights stay on. It’s just a local science tuition spot doing its thing in Nandanvan without any extra fuss or flashiness involved.
