Bilkumari Digital Center

Bilkumari Digital Center is our small shop in the village of Bilkumari. We are located right here in the Nakashipara area of Nadia. It’s a quiet place most of the time, though it gets a bit busier when people come home from work in the evenings. I started this place because I noticed everyone had to travel so far just to get simple things done online or to print out a few pages. Now, they just walk down the lane to see us. The shop isn't anything special to look at. We have a couple of old computers and a printer that sometimes makes a loud clicking noise, but it gets the job done eventually. I usually sit near the door to catch the breeze because it gets quite hot inside during the summer months. We don't have fancy signs or a big marketing budget. Most people know we are here just by word of mouth. It feels good to help the neighbors with their forms and internet stuff. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple life running a business in a village like this. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make things a little easier for the folks living nearby in Nadia. Every day is a bit different, depending on who stops by and what they need help with. It’s just a normal local spot.
