Handuvinahalli is where we are, right in the Nanjungud Taluk. The office is at house number 95. It’s a small place in the village. Debur Post is where the mail goes. We call ourselves Nanjundeshwara Farmer Producer Company Limited because that’s the name we liked. We’re just a bunch of farmers from around this area. Some of us have small plots and some have a bit more. We grow what the land allows. Usually, there’s a lot of talk about the wind or if the pests are moving in. We aren't experts in everything, but we know this dirt. This company thing is just a way for us to be more organized. We meet up when there’s a reason, like when it’s time to buy something for the fields or sell what we grew. It’s not like those big companies in the city. We wear our regular clothes and our shoes are usually muddy. Nanjungud is famous for a lot of things, but for us, it’s just home. We spend most of our time outside. If you come looking for us at #95, someone will point you the right way. We don't have a receptionist. You just walk in and say hello. It’s honest work and it’s tiring, but we’ve been doing it for years. We just hope the next season is a bit better than the last one. We stick together and help out when a neighbor's tractor breaks down or someone gets sick. The land keeps us busy enough throughout the whole year.
