Bukanakere Horticulture Farmer Producer

Our group is based out of Hodakeshettahalli village, right over in Bukankere Hobli. A few of us got together at H P Raju’s place because we all grow similar things in this part of K R Pet Taluk. Horticulture takes a lot of patience, and having neighbors to talk to helps when the pests are bad or the market prices are all over the place. We don't spend much time in an office; most of the work happens out in the gardens and fields where the fruit and vegetables are growing. It’s a quiet area, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be some big corporation with suits and ties. We just want to make sure the local growers here have a way to get their produce out to the markets without getting lost in the shuffle. Life in the village moves at its own pace, which is usually quite slow until harvest time hits. Some seasons are better than others, of course, depending on the sun and the rain. We share tools sometimes and give advice when someone is trying a new crop for the first time. It's just a bunch of neighbors trying to keep the farming tradition going in this corner of the world. You won't find anything flashy here, just people with dirt under their fingernails and a lot of work to do before the sun goes down every evening.
