VEG Court Restaurant

VEG Court Restaurant is located inside the Maurya Residency Hotel on Sri Harsha Road in Mysore. We are right next to the New Opera Theatre, which is a pretty well-known spot in this part of town. Being inside a hotel means we get a lot of people who are traveling, but we also have locals who come in from Sri Harsha Road. The restaurant is quite straightforward. We serve vegetarian food because that is what we are comfortable making. It’s a decent-sized room with plenty of seating for families or groups. We don’t go in for fancy decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the kitchen and making sure there is enough food for everyone. Mysore is a busy place, especially around the theater area, so things can get a bit loud outside, but inside it’s usually calm. We have a staff that has been with us for a while, and they know the routine. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning, prep the vegetables, and start cooking. It’s a practical place to get lunch or dinner if you are in the center of Mysore. We see a lot of the same people every week, which is nice. It’s just a regular veg restaurant in a good location near the theater. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long for their plate of food.
