The Mughal Darbar

We've been running The Mughal Darbar here in Mysore for a while now. It's just a regular spot where we try to get the food right every single day. My cousin and I started this because we liked the idea of having a place where people could just sit and eat without much fuss. We are located at 570001, which is a busy area but we like the energy. Some days are quieter than others, especially when it's raining, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Cleaning, chopping, checking the supplies—it never really ends. People ask why we chose this name, and there isn't some big story, we just thought it sounded okay. We see a lot of regular faces from around the neighborhood. It’s nice when someone walks in and you already know what they want to order. We don't really do fancy advertisements or anything like that. Most folks just find us by walking past. The chairs might not be the most expensive ones you’ve ever sat in, but they do the job. We keep the place tidy as best as we can. It gets loud during lunch, and sometimes we run out of things if the market was short that morning. We just try to keep things moving. It’s not a perfect operation, but it’s ours and we are here every day.
