The 1961 Multicuisine Restaurant And Bar At Sujatha Residency

We are located inside Sujatha Residency on Anegundi Road. Being near the Highway Circle in Banni Mantap means we get a lot of travelers passing through Mysore. The building has been here for years. It has a specific look that people recognize. We have the restaurant and the bar area separate. The lights are a bit dim in the bar because that is how people like it when they are relaxing after a long drive. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and making sure the tables are steady. Sometimes the music is a bit loud but we try to keep it at a level where people can still talk. The kitchen stays open late because guests arrive at all hours from the highway. We have a mix of regular locals and people staying in the rooms upstairs. It is not a very quiet place on the weekends. The staff is mostly guys who have been with us for years. They know the menu by heart and don't need to look at the books much. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. We just open the doors and wait for the lunch rush to start. The parking lot out front gets pretty full in the evenings. We try to keep the garden area tidy but the Mysore weather makes the plants grow faster than we can trim them sometimes. It is just a straightforward place to get a drink and some food.
