Sri Ramakrishna Vidyakula Trust

Sri Ramakrishna Vidyakula Trust is located out on the Mysore Bantwal Highway in the Hootagalli area. We’ve been here in Mysore for quite a while now. Being right on the highway means we see a lot of traffic passing by, but once you step inside our gates, things settle down a bit. Our trust is really about the local community here in 570018. We aren't a big corporate entity with glossy brochures. We’re just a group of people trying to manage things properly. Most of our day is spent dealing with the paperwork and the practical needs of the educational efforts we support. Hootagalli is an industrial sort of area, so we fit right in with the hardworking vibe of the neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of staff, so everyone chips in where they can. If a pipe leaks or a desk breaks, someone usually just goes and fixes it. It’s very hands-on. We like the fact that we’re a bit removed from the main tourist parts of Mysore. It keeps things quiet and simple. We don’t use a lot of fancy language to describe what we do. We just look after the trust’s responsibilities and make sure we’re doing right by the people who rely on us. It’s steady work, and we’ve been at it long enough that it feels like second nature. There is no magic to it, just keeping things running.
