Sri Jayacharmarajendra College Of Engineering sits over at Mansa Gangothri. It’s a well-known spot in the area, mostly because of how much space there is. There are a lot of old trees around the campus that give some decent shade when it gets really hot outside. You can see people sitting under them between their classes or just taking a walk. The buildings have been here for a long time, so they have that solid, older look to them. We don't have many of those modern glass towers, which is fine by us. The hallways are long and have a bit of an echo when they are empty. Most of the staff have their own little spots where they’ve been sitting for years. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, with different departments spread out in various blocks. Mansa Gangothri is a nice place to be, it feels a bit more relaxed than the very center of the city. We spend our days dealing with the usual stuff like fixing leaky taps or making sure the projectors in the rooms are working. It’s a big place but it feels like a small community once you’ve been here a few months. Everyone knows the security guards at the gate and the folks who run the tea stall nearby. It’s just a regular part of our lives, and we don't try to make it seem more than that.
