Rao Way Bar & Restaurant

Rao Way Bar & Restaurant is sitting at No 297 on K R S Road in the Hootagalli area of Mysore. We are pretty close to the BEML factory, so a lot of our regulars are people who work over there. After a long shift, they come in to sit down and have a drink or some food. The place isn't fancy at all. We have a bar area and then some tables for people who want to eat a full meal. Mysore 570018 is a nice place to live, but Hootagalli is more of an industrial spot, so it has a different feel. It’s mostly men coming in after work, talking about their day and watching whatever is on the television. We serve a mix of things, mostly local stuff that goes well with a cold beer. The lighting is a bit dim, which helps people relax I think. We have a few staff members who have been with us since we opened. They know who likes what and where they usually sit. The traffic on K R S Road can be heavy in the evenings, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed. We don't try to be like those upscale bars in the city center. We are just a local spot for local people. It’s a straightforward business, and we just try to keep the drinks cold and the food hot. Most nights are pretty calm, just the usual group of friends enjoying their time together.
