Planet Kids

Our place is in the Sapthagiri Building, right on Ideal Jawa Main Road in Yadavagiri. It's a nice part of Mysore, mostly residential and fairly green. The building itself is 1/A, so it's easy to find. We have kids coming in from all over this side of town. Inside, there are lots of toys and little chairs everywhere. It can get pretty noisy when everyone is playing at once, but that is just how it is with small children. The teachers here have been around for a long time. We usually start the day with some singing or just letting the kids settle in. Outside, the road can get a bit busy with people going to work, but once you're inside, it's its own little world. We have some colorful mats on the floor and some drawings taped to the walls. Some of them are a bit crooked. We don't have a fancy lobby. It's just a place where parents can drop their kids and know they are being looked after. In the afternoons, it gets a bit quieter when it's nap time. We spend a lot of time cleaning up blocks and crayons. It's a lot of work but it's what we do. The neighborhood is quiet in the evenings after everyone has gone home. We just lock up the Sapthagiri building and get ready to do it all again the next morning for the families around here.
