Pepes Vegetarian Restaurant & Coffee House

We are located at No.108 on 9th Main in Saraswathipuram. If you know where the Saraswathipuram Post Office is, we are just a short walk from there. Mysore is a city that likes its coffee, and we’ve been serving it here for a while. Pepes Vegetarian Restaurant & Coffee House is mostly a quiet spot. 3rd Cross isn't as loud as the main roads, which is nice. We only do vegetarian food. It’s just easier that way and it’s what we know. The coffee machine is probably the most important thing in the building. It’s been hissed at and fixed more times than I can count. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here since we opened. They have their favorite chairs and they don't like it if someone else is sitting there. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy handbook. We just show up, brew the coffee, and get the breakfast ready. The staff is mostly local kids or people who have lived in Mysore their whole lives. It’s a steady pace here. We don’t rush people out. If someone wants to sit with their newspaper for an hour, that’s fine by us. The post office nearby brings in a lot of foot traffic during the day. It’s a simple life running a coffee house in this part of town. We just keep the beans fresh and the floor clean.
