New Annapurna Restaurant

Being located at No 9 and 10 on Chamundi Hills Main Road in Mysore is interesting because we see so many people heading up the hill. J C Nagar is a good neighborhood to be in. We are right near the police quarters, so that’s a landmark most people know. The mornings start early for us here. There is a lot of chopping and boiling to get things ready for the breakfast crowd. Mysore has a certain pace, and we try to keep up with it. Our space in J C Nagar isn't huge, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time making sure the tables are wiped down and the water is ready. It’s mostly just us working here, trying to make sure the food tastes like it should. We get a mix of regulars who live nearby and travelers who are just passing through on their way to see the sights. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and everyone crowds inside to stay dry while they eat. Those are some of our busiest times. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just come in, cook, and serve. It is a simple routine, really. You get to know what people like after a few years of doing this. If you are around Chamundi Hills road, you’ll see our sign. We are usually here from early on until things quiet down at night.
