Maza Restaurant

Our place is on the SBI Main Road over in Hebbal 1st Stage in Mysore. It is right across from the Chamundeshwari Temple, which is a big landmark for anyone living around here. Hebbal is a bit of a mix, some parts are quiet and some parts get busy with people going to work or the bank. We are right in the middle of that. The restaurant is not a big place. It has enough room for a few tables and a small kitchen area where we do all the cooking. We start our day early, usually when the sun is just coming up, to get things prepped. You can hear the temple bells from across the street sometimes. It’s a nice sound to work to. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some old fans that keep the air moving. We see a lot of the same faces every day, people who work at the SBI nearby or residents from the first stage area. We don't do anything too complicated here. We just make the food and put it on the plates. If the weather is nice, we leave the front open. If it’s dusty, we close it up a bit. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how the kitchen runs. It is just a regular Mysore eatery doing its thing on the main road.
