Mallika Fish Land

Mallika Fish Land is right on 17 Hunsur Road in the Hinkal area of Mysore. We are situated very close to the Inkal Signal, so we see all the traffic going towards Hunsur. Working with fish means our day starts very early. We have to get the morning delivery sorted out before the sun gets too high. The shop has a very specific smell, which is just part of the job when you deal with seafood. We have benches for people to wait while we prepare their orders. It is a busy spot, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from work and stop by the signal. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment; we use simple knives and cleaning stations. The floor usually needs a lot of washing throughout the day to keep things clean. Our staff is just a few local guys who know how to handle fish properly. We have been at this 570017 location for a good while. Most of our customers are locals from the Hinkal neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. We don't do any big marketing; we just rely on people seeing our sign by the road. It is a messy job sometimes, and the heat in Mysore can be a lot, but we just keep at it. We just focus on the fish and the daily customers. The signal can be noisy but it brings people in.
