Jewel Rock Restaurant

Jewel Rock Restaurant is part of the Maurya Palace Hotel on Sri Harsha Road in Mysore. This part of Mysore is quite old and has a lot of history to it. We have been operating out of this hotel for a long time. The street outside is usually busy with tourists and people heading toward the palace. We don't have a big marketing department or anything fancy like that. It’s just us and the kitchen staff doing the same work we’ve done for years. The restaurant has a certain look that fits with the hotel, but we try to keep it feeling like a place where anyone can just walk in. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just cook and serve. Sometimes the hotel gets crowded, and we have to move a bit faster, but we usually manage fine. Sri Harsha Road is a good place to be because there is always something to look at out the window. We see the horse carriages and the autos going by all day long. Our tables are sturdy, and we keep the place clean, which is about as much as we worry about. It is a local business through and through, and we like being a part of the Mysore scene. We’ve seen the city change a lot over the years, but the road outside mostly stays the same.
