Fanus Family Restaurant

You can find Fanus Family Restaurant in Vijayanagar, right by Dr Rajkumar Circle here in Mysore. It’s a pretty lively spot because of the circle, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We opened this place because we wanted a spot where families could just sit down and eat without it being too complicated. Mysore is a beautiful city, and Vijayanagar is a nice part of it to be in. Our restaurant is quite simple inside. We’ve got the usual tables and a counter where we take orders. It gets pretty loud during the weekends when families bring their kids, but that’s what we expected. We spend a lot of time in the back prep area, chopping vegetables and getting the spices right. The floor usually needs a good sweep every hour because people bring in dust from the road. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft lighting, just regular bulbs and a clean space to sit. Some days the supply truck is late or the water pump acts up, which is just the reality of running a place like this. We aren't trying to be the most famous spot in town, we just want to be the place where you can get a decent meal on your way home. Most of our staff lives nearby, so we all know the area well and like being part of the local scene around the circle.
