Bsnl Rttc Mysore is situated over in Kuvempunagara North, specifically in the Tk Layout area. It is a fairly large place compared to the small shops around it. You see a lot of people coming in for training because it’s a regional center for BSNL. The campus has some greenery, which is nice because Mysore can get pretty warm. The buildings have that typical government look, with long corridors and heavy doors that have been painted many times. Inside, there are classrooms and labs where people spend most of their day looking at cables and equipment. It isn’t the kind of place that’s trying to look modern or cool. It’s just where the work happens. In the mornings, you can see the trainees walking from the gates toward the main block. The cafeteria usually smells like coffee and sambar around ten in the morning. We spend a lot of time in the offices at Tk Layout dealing with the day-to-day logistics of running the center. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just how things go here. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, except when the shifts change and everyone heads out at once. Most of us have been working here for years and know every corner of the property. It is just a steady, functional place in a nice part of Mysore.
