Takshila School

Our school is situated right on NH 28, along the Samastipur Road in Silout. Being near the highway means we are easy to find, but it also means there is a lot of truck traffic and noise nearby. The campus is quite spread out because we have a lot of space out here in Muzaffarpur. We have several buildings for the different grade levels. The walk between the front gate and the main office is a bit long for some. We have a big open area where the kids play different sports like cricket. It gets very dusty when it hasn't rained in a while. Inside the classrooms, it is pretty standard with wooden benches and whiteboards. The teachers come in from different parts of the district every day. We have a small canteen where students can get some snacks or water during the break. It is a busy place during the day, but it gets very quiet once the buses leave in the late afternoon. We do not have a lot of fancy landscaping, just some patches of grass and a few trees for shade. The main goal here is just to keep the classes running on time and follow the schedule. We have a library and a science lab, which are used pretty much every day by the older students. It is a straightforward environment. We focus on the books and making sure everyone is keeping up with their work.
