Jarang High School

Jarang High School sits right off NH 57 here in Jarang. If you are driving through Muzaffarpur, you will see our gates as you pass by. The school has been part of this community for a long time now. We have students coming in from all the nearby villages and some from further down the highway. The noise from the trucks on NH 57 is something we have all just gotten used to over the years. Inside the walls, it is a different world. We have classrooms that have seen many winters and summers. The desks are worn, and the floors show the years of footsteps. We spend our days teaching the older kids and trying to keep things organized. It is not always easy with so many students, but we manage. During the rainy season, the ground gets a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. They just want to see their friends. We don't do anything flashy. It is just about getting through the lessons and making sure the exams are taken care of. Muzaffarpur is a busy place, and being out here near the highway means we see a lot of people passing through. We are just a local school doing what we can with what we have. Most of the staff live nearby, so we see the families at the market too. It feels like a small world here in Jarang, even with the big road outside.
