Navkar-9

Navkar-9 is our little spot in the middle of Zaveri Bazar. We are located at Auram, specifically in Shop No. 3 and 4. If you know where Jewel World is, we are just right near there. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, as anyone who has been to the gold market knows. Every morning we open up and start dealing with the day's tasks. There is always a lot of movement in these narrow lanes. We handle various jewelry-related items and parts. It isn't a massive showroom with fancy lights. It’s a practical shop where we get work done. Sometimes it gets quite cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We’ve been here for a while now. You get used to the noise and the crowds after a point. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us behind the counter. We talk to the regulars and the people who just happen to walk past. The Auram building is a good landmark for us. Some days are slow and we just sit and sort through papers. Other days, we don't even have time to eat lunch properly. That’s just how it goes in Zaveri Bazar. We aren't doing anything fancy. We just keep the shop running and help the people who come in looking for something specific. It’s a straightforward business in a very famous part of the city.
