We are located at 147 Yusuf Manzil, right near the Zakaria Masjid in the K.Vadamadurai post area. It’s a very local neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for many years. The shop is on the ground floor of the building. You can usually hear the calls from the masjid throughout the day, which gives the place a very specific rhythm. We sell all kinds of regular clothing and outfits. It’s a small shop, so we have to use every bit of wall space for hanging things. We have a couple of wooden chairs for customers to sit on if they are waiting for someone. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but people bring in a lot of dust from the street. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in a big ledger. It works fine for us. Sometimes the neighborhood kids run past the door, making a lot of noise. We know most of the families who live around Yusuf Manzil. It’s a friendly place where everyone knows everyone else. We open up after the morning prayers and stay until late in the evening. There’s a small tea shop just a few doors down where we get our drinks. It’s a simple life running a clothing shop here, and we enjoy the daily interactions with our neighbors. The shop is a bit cramped, but we make the best of it.
