Zahoora Sweets is located in the Mangdumia Industrial Estate in Nagpada, specifically at 219/223. Being inside an industrial estate means we are surrounded by a lot of other businesses and workshops. It is a busy, noisy area with trucks moving in and out all day long. Our space is mostly taken up by large cooking vats and tables where we prepare the sweets. It is not like a typical storefront where you have a big display window. We focus more on the production side of things. The air inside is usually thick with the smell of sugar and spices. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time, and they know the recipes by heart. We don't use many machines, so most of the stirring and cutting is done by hand. It is exhausting work, especially when we have big orders to finish for a holiday. Sometimes the electricity in the estate flickers, which can be a real problem when we are in the middle of something. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. People from the nearby offices often stop by to see what we have made fresh that day. It is a gritty, practical place without any frills. We are just here to make sweets and keep the business going in this busy part of Nagpada. We have been doing it this way for years and it seems to work out for us.
