Brijwasi Sweets

We are located in the Sheriar Irani Building on Dr. Ambedkar Road. You can find us at shops 6 and 7. We are right opposite Rani Bagh and near the S Bridge in Byculla. It’s a very old part of Mumbai, and our building has that classic look. We’ve been serving sweets to the Byculla crowd for a long time. The traffic on the road is constant, but inside it smells like cardamom and ghee. We specialize in traditional sweets. Our counters are always packed with different colors and shapes of barfi and peda. It’s a small space, so it gets crowded quickly, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We don't have a fancy cooling system, just the old ceiling fans. The staff knows most of the regular customers who come in every week for their fix. We try to keep the prices fair so everyone can afford a little treat. It’s hard work standing all day, but seeing the kids smile when they get a sweet makes it worth it. Byculla is a busy place, and we are happy to be part of its history. We keep things simple and traditional, just the way we were taught by our elders. Sometimes we run out of the milk cake early, so people know to come before sunset.
