Young Artist Association

We are located up on the 4th floor of a building in Kalbadevi. The address is 329 and 331, right by the Vijay Char Rasta. It is a very busy intersection, and it can be quite a climb up those stairs every morning. Being opposite Swadeshi Market means there is always a lot of shouting and trucks loading things down on the street. Young Artist Association is a place where we get together to handle all the paperwork and planning for what we do. The rooms are old, with high ceilings and fans that creak a bit when they are on full speed. We have a lot of papers stacked up on the desks and posters from old events pinned to the walls. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or anything. It feels more like a lived-in space where people actually spend their whole day working. We spend a lot of time talking to different people who come by to ask about our projects. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window, so we have to move the chairs. Kalbadevi is a crowded place, but it has a certain energy that keeps us going. Most of us have been here for years, so we know the neighbors and the tea stall guy downstairs really well. It is just a regular spot where we try to get things done despite the noise and the heat from the afternoon sun hitting the roof.
