Operating out of Nariman Point gives us a good view of how busy Mumbai really is every day. Weddings & Lifestyle isn't some massive corporate entity with hundreds of employees. It is just us working from this office, trying to keep track of all the different pieces that go into planning things. Some days are just spent on the phone for hours, while others involve running around to find specific items that someone asked for. Nariman Point is a professional area, but our office feels more like a workshop sometimes with all the samples lying around. We don't really do the whole "luxury" talk. We just know that when someone is getting married, they have a lot on their plate, and we try to handle the logistics so they don't have to. It is a lot of paperwork and making sure the timing is right. Sometimes we stay late because the work just doesn't finish by five o'clock. We have been in this spot for a while, so we know the local vendors and how to get things moved through the city traffic. It is not always perfect, and sometimes there are hiccups with deliveries, but we just deal with them as they come. It is just a regular business day here, filled with lists and coffee.
