We’ve been based here at 301, 6A in the Mhada Colony for a while now. It’s a busy part of Malad East, right in New Dindoshi. If you know Mumbai, you know how it gets around here during rush hour, but we manage to get in on time most days. Vj Media Works Pvt Ltd is just a group of us working on various media projects. Some days are loud with people talking, others are just quiet desk work. We’ve got this office space that fits what we do, nothing too fancy but it gets the job done for us. People usually find us easily enough once they get into the colony area. The building is a typical Mumbai spot, a bit worn in but it feels like home to us after all this time spent here. We handle different types of media stuff, mostly just sticking to our deadlines and making sure the files are sent out on time. It’s not always glamorous. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks or the internet slows down when it rains, but that’s just how it goes here. We like being in Malad because everything we need is pretty much within walking distance, from the local snacks to the stationery shops. We don’t really do big speeches about what we do. We just come in, sit at our desks, and get through the list of tasks for the day. It’s a steady rhythm we’ve built up over the years in this office space.
