Soutra Trading Company

We've been here in Vile Parle West for a while now, right near Mithibai College. It's a busy spot with all the students and folks coming through. We handle trading mostly. It's just a regular office where we keep things moving. We didn't start with much, just a desk and a phone really. Sometimes it gets loud outside with the college crowd, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. Mostly we just focus on getting our work done and making sure everything is where it needs to be. People know us around here because we've stayed in the same place for years. It isn't a fancy setup. We have some chairs and old files. My cousin helps out sometimes too. We deal with different items depending on what's needed. It's honest work. If you walk past Mithibai, you'll probably see our sign. We keep our hours pretty steady. There's always someone here to answer the door. It’s a good location for us because it’s easy for people to find. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth usually does the trick. We just try to stay busy and keep the business running smoothly. It’s been a long journey from when we first opened. We’ve seen the shops around us change quite a bit over the seasons. But we're still here doing what we do every single day.
