Vayudoot Couriers

We are over in Room Number 2 of the Manoranjan building. This is in the Chakala area of Andheri East, right by Manek Chowk. If you find the Landmark Building, we are just a short walk away from there. The room is small and usually smells like paper and ink. We have bags and boxes stacked up against almost every wall. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, but it still gets warm when the sun hits the building in the afternoon. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, trying to track down where a particular bike or van has got to in the Andheri traffic. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, and sometimes the desk gets buried under a pile of waybills. We aren't a big corporate office, just a small team of people trying to make sure the mail gets to the right place. The Manoranjan building has its own quirks, like the elevator that sometimes decides not to stop on our floor. We know the other tenants well, and we often share news over a cup of tea in the hallway. It’s a busy life, especially during the monsoon when we have to wrap everything in plastic to keep the rain out. We just take it one day at a time. It’s about getting the delivery done and moving on to the next one on the list for the day.
