If you know J B Nagar in Andheri East, you know it’s always moving. Barkar Road is where we have our small setup for Ashapura Courier Services. It’s at number 8. It’s a busy little spot. Every morning is the same, bags of mail and boxes piled up everywhere. We start early because the vans need to get out before the traffic gets really bad. Andheri is tough for driving, so we try to be quick. It’s just a few of us here. We don’t have a big corporate lobby. It’s more about desks and weighing scales. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook with people asking where their parcel is. We try to keep track of everything, but you know how things go sometimes. The rain in Mumbai can make things messy, especially for a courier business. We spend a lot of time tape-sealing boxes and checking addresses. Barkar Road has some decent places to eat nearby, which is good when we don’t have time for a proper lunch. We’ve been in this part of Andheri for a good bit now. Most of the shops around here know us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to get the day's deliveries done so we can go home. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. That’s pretty much the story of our shop here.
