Vaishnavi Couriers

You can find us over in the St Francis Compound in Kevni Pada. It’s in Andheri West, not too far from the Datta Mandir. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty cramped and busy. Vaishnavi Couriers is usually full of boxes and envelopes of all sizes. There is always someone coming in to drop something off or a delivery person getting ready to head out into the traffic. The space isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we stack things so we don't trip over them. It gets quite warm in here during the summer months. We spend a lot of time checking addresses and making sure labels are stuck on tight. The noise of tape dispensers is probably the most common sound you’ll hear. Sometimes the rain in Mumbai makes things difficult, but we try to keep the parcels dry as best as we can. We don't have a fleet of fancy trucks; it’s mostly bikes and hardworking people trying to get through the narrow lanes. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us. It’s a straightforward business. We take things from one place and try to get them to the next. Some days the traffic in Andheri is a nightmare, which slows everything down, but that’s just life here. We stay until the last delivery is sorted and everything is put in its right place.
