Our place is at 32/1/4 in the Fort area. It’s an old building, like most things around this part of the city. Being in Fort means we are right in the middle of everything. We handle a lot of documents and small parcels for the offices and banks nearby. It’s a fast-paced environment most of the time. People are always in a hurry to get their mail out before the day ends. We have a small desk and a lot of logbooks stacked up. It’s a simple operation at V M Courier. We don't use any fancy tracking apps or anything, just good old-fashioned handwriting and reliable delivery. The streets outside are always packed with people and cars. We know the shortcuts around the narrow lanes to make sure things get delivered on time. It’s a lot of walking and riding bikes through traffic. Sometimes the weather is a problem, especially in the monsoon, but the deliveries don’t stop just because it's raining. We’ve been doing this for years now. It’s just us and the parcels. We don't have a big staff, just a few reliable people who know the city well. You won't find any glossy brochures here. Just a pile of envelopes and a scale on the counter. We open early and close when the last bag is sorted for the night. It’s honest work and we like the bustle of Fort. The walls could use some paint, though.
