Our place is over at 52/52 A on Islampura Street. It's an interesting part of the city, lots of history and lots of small businesses like ours. We’ve been called Uni Steels & Engineering for a long time, but to most people around here, we’re just the guys at the steel shop. The building is a bit worn, and the stairs are narrow, but it serves our purpose. We spend most of our hours handling steel orders and figuring out logistics for getting things delivered. Islampura Street is usually packed with vehicles, so getting stuff in and out takes some patience. We have a small crew, and everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping with the loading when a truck finally finds a spot to park. It's not a polished environment. There are metal shavings on the floor sometimes, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We don't worry too much about that, though. We’re more focused on getting the orders right and keeping things moving. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. Sometimes customers come in just to chat about the latest prices or what’s happening in the market. It’s a community. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans hanging on the walls. We just come in, do the work, and head home. It’s a practical life, and we’re fine with that. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things simple.
