Our office is right in the middle of the Bhuleshwar chaos. If you have ever been to 2nd Boiwada Lane, you know what I mean. It is crowded, noisy, and there is always someone moving a handcart full of goods. We are in Building Number 39, specifically in Room 16. It’s a small space, but we have been here for a while now. Mumbai is a fast city, and this neighborhood is even faster. Most mornings start with clearing the mail and checking what needs to go out. We deal with overseas stuff, so there is always a lot of paperwork on the desks. It gets a bit dusty with the windows open, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Our neighbors are mostly other traders who have been here for decades. We don't have a big reception or anyone to open the door for you. You just walk in and find us working. Usually, there are samples lying around on the chairs. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice an hour. We just focus on getting the shipments ready and making sure the numbers match up. It's not glamorous, and the stairs in the building are quite steep. If you are coming to visit, don't bring a big car because it won't fit in the lane. We just do our bit every day and hope the traffic isn't too bad for the delivery boys.
