Sigma Stone Art

Sigma Stone Art is tucked away in the Anthomy Compound in Malad West. We are over on Jetalpur Road, not too far from the Jurassic Park landmark. People usually use that to find us because the compound entrance can be easy to miss if you aren't looking closely. We work with stone, doing various types of art and carving. It is a noisy job. There is always the sound of grinding or chiseling going on. Dust gets everywhere, so we are constantly cleaning off our faces and the floors. We have different kinds of stone sitting around, some big slabs and some smaller pieces waiting to be worked on. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. Malad is a busy area, but once you get inside the compound, it feels a bit more like a workshop world. We have been doing this for a while. We aren't a big company with many offices, just this one space where we do the work. Customers come in with ideas and we see what we can do with the stone. It takes time and patience. Some days the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. We don’t use any fancy sales talk. If someone likes the stone work, they buy it. We just focus on getting the pieces right. It’s a gritty, hard-working environment, and that’s how we like it. The stones are heavy and the days are long.
