Our place is in Kurla West, tucked inside the Maqsood Estate at Pathanwadi. We are in Gala No. 2. If you are trying to find us, look for the Kalpana Theater or the Ansari Weight Bridge, because we are right behind there. LBS Marg is always a mess of traffic and noise, which is just part of being in this area. Inside our gala, Al - Shaikhan Zari Arts does very detailed work. It takes a lot of patience. There are threads of all colors and shiny materials spread out on the tables. It isn't a modern office with computers everywhere. It is a workshop where we use our hands. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is concrete, but it’s where we get things done. We spend most of our time bent over the frames, working on the designs. Sometimes the light is a bit dim, so we have to use extra bulbs to see the fine details. We aren't a big company with a lot of rules. It’s just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We don't advertise our work in magazines. Usually, someone sees what we’ve made and asks where they can get it. That’s how we get most of our orders. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of all the thread, but we like the work we do here in Kurla.
