I Care Optician

You can find us at I Care Optician in Shop No 332. We’re located in the Masjid Bunder West area, right at the Pathakwadi Corner near Lohar Chawl. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are narrow and always full of people. We’ve been here at the Ibhraim Rehamtulla building spot for a while. Our shop is small, but we have plenty of frames and lenses packed in. I spend most of my day looking through eyeglass testers or helping someone find a pair of frames that don't slide off their nose. It’s not a fancy boutique. We have some old wooden cabinets and the lighting is okay, but we get the job done. People around here usually want something that lasts and doesn't cost too much. I see a lot of the same faces every year when they come back for a check-up. The corner where we are located is always noisy with the sounds of the market, but inside it’s a bit quieter. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we have to use a torch to find things, but that’s just life in this part of town. We don’t do big sales or anything like that. We just help people see better. It’s a steady kind of work. I like being in Masjid Bunder despite the crowds. We take our lunch breaks together in the back of the shop.
