Aakash Textiles Mumbai

Aakash Textiles Mumbai is tucked away in Room No. 9 at Dalal Wadi. We are right on S. V. Road, just across from the Malad Shopping Center in Malad West. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, as anyone who lives here can tell you. The noise from the traffic on S. V. Road never really stops. Our room isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack the textiles. Every inch of space is used up. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when there are three or four of us working in there at once. We handle a lot of different fabrics. Some are for clothes and some are for other things. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. You just walk into Dalal Wadi and find Room No. 9. We’ve been in Malad West for quite some time. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the floor has some scuffs, but it’s a place where work gets done. We spend our time measuring cloth and talking to the folks who stop by. We don't have a polished way of speaking. We just tell you what we have and how much it is. It’s a basic operation but it’s ours. Being opposite the shopping center means there’s always something happening outside, but we just worry about the textiles inside our little room. Aakash Textiles Mumbai has been here in Malad West for a long time. We know the guys at the tea stall.
