We are located at 3/11 Zariwala Chawl, which is right opposite the Mazgaon Court. Being in a chawl means there is always something happening right outside our door. Mazgaon is a busy area, and the court brings in a lot of people every single day. You can hear the lawyers and the families talking and the tea stalls doing a brisk trade. Our space is small and gets very warm when we are cooking or prepping for a big order. We have large burners and stacks of big steel pots that take up most of the room. It’s a bit of a squeeze to move around sometimes, but we’ve learned how to stay out of each other’s way. The walls have some stains from years of steam and cooking, and we don't really worry about it much. We’ve been here in this chawl for a long time, and the neighbors are like family. We start our work very early, often when the streets are still dark and quiet before the court opens. By noon, the whole place is buzzing and we are usually in the middle of a hundred different things. It’s a simple life, focused on food and getting orders delivered on time. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist; you just walk in and find us working. It's the only way we know how to run things here in Mazgaon, keeping it practical and moving forward.
