Torrp It Up

Torrp It Up is located in Bandra West at the corner of 4th Cross and 5th Main near the APMC Yard 2/3 345. It is a bit of a tricky spot to find if you aren't familiar with these backstreets. We make sandwiches and rolls for the people in the neighborhood and the many delivery drivers who come through here. The kitchen is pretty tight and we are always moving around each other to get orders out on time. It gets very hot near the ovens especially during the middle of the day. We have a small counter where people can stand and wait for their food. Bandra is a lively area but this specific corner near the yard feels more like a working-class spot. There is always the sound of crates being moved or motorcycles revving their engines outside. Our walls have a few scuff marks from all the boxes being moved in and out. We use simple ingredients and don't try to be a fancy restaurant. The staff wears plain aprons and we spend most of our shifts prepping vegetables or wrapping up orders. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we just have to wait it out in the dark. It is a basic food business and we focus on getting the orders right for the people who are hungry. We are just a small part of the busy Bandra food scene.
